My Background
I have been interested in fashion, sewing, and costuming since I was young. My parents bought me my first sewing machine for my 9th birthday, and I was off to the races from there! I made outfits for school, costumes for fun, and whatever else I could dream up. I started drawing then too, doing my best to mimic the styles of fashion illustrators and designers I admired.

Fast forward to college, and I lost sight of my creative side. My experiences studying music pushed me away from the arts all together, and I pursued a degree in science instead. After graduating and trying to settle into my first few jobs, I realized how much I missed the arts, so I decided to go back to school for something I was passionate about. Though I didn't complete my studies at CSU, I took nearly every practical costuming course they offered, and I enjoyed every second of it.

Funnily enough, I owe a lot of my current drive to make a career in fashion and costuming to role playing games. I've played them since high school, and still play tons of them now. They keep my creative brain constantly engaged. I started spending hours creating and designing characters, and eventually wondered if it was something I could do to support myself. That's what led me to pursuing an education at CSU, and it helped shine a light on what I really want to be doing.
